2-D Momentum Conservation with Energy
You will be controlling the ship in the middle of the display window. A Kuiper Belt object will be heading toward your ship. You must turn to face the object and fire a small explosive charge at the object. If you hit it, the object will explode into two pieces will travel off in two different directions. You are to figure out the original speed of the object based on the information given after your successful hit. Once you have this initial speed you must then find the KE that was added to your system by the explosive charge.

When you are ready to start the problem, click on the Begin button and when you have finished collecting data hit End to submit your results.
