Work (Isothermal Compression)
In this problem you will need to figure out how much work is done on a gas during isothermal compression. The solution of this problem requires knowledge of calculus and should only be assigned to students with the proper background. This compression happens slowly and the walls of the container are thin and conducting so that the gas remains at the temperature of the surroundings.
